The Story...

The main characters of this story are Nicky and his mother. One day Nicky's mother has made a lot of beef stew, so he was able to invite friends to eat beef stew. However he asked his friend Alec to come to eat it, Alec had to go to the dentist. So he is not able to go. After that he asked Carla, but she could not go because she did not like beef stew. Then he spoke to Mr. Blake, but he planned to go to eat out. He also tried to ask Officer Gabel, but she could not because she had the birthday party that night. Since he was turned down from everyone, he was very depressed on his way to home. However he saw a postman, Mr. Cone. He handed Nicky a post card from his grandmother. So he invited his grandmother to his house for dinner. Nickey, his mother and his grandmother had a very good time that night.

I thought that this book was written about how to make beef stew. However that was not at all. Actually, I had a question why the title of his book is "Beef Stew". In addition that, I wanted to know how to make beef stew. If I was able to know how to make it, I would have a good idea. The pictures on this book were very cute!
